What are the key words at the start of 2014? An Era of Conscience! 2013 was a year blemished by the word “fake” due to many fraudulent practices, and people’s hearts are surrounded by anxiety and uncertainty. We urgently need to awaken people’s kindness and conscience. 2014 is the right year to launch “An Era of Conscience.” Starting from January, there have been nearly 150 organizations from over 90 nations that have participated in this movement of creating “An Era of Conscience.” On February 16, from the north to the south of Taiwan and from Los Angles to San Jose in the USA, more than 15 regions and thousands of people from all over the world will connect globally to launch this movement together. We hope through our collective efforts, the inner calling for kindness and goodness will be awakened and we will reconstruct a world with harmony and stability to enjoy the peace dividend of the era of conscience.
Because of frequent occurrence of natural disasters and man-made calamities, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, Zhang-men-ren of Tai Ji Men and the initiator of the movement of An Era of Conscience, intends to connect waves upon waves of positive energies generating from individuals to families, from communities to their nations and then to the whole world! Dr. Hong hopes that through this movement people can find peace in their minds and show respect for human values and rights. Let our conscience be awakened and let the power of conscience lead the society. We cordially invite everyone to join this movement. Please share your wish or a practical experience about An Era of Conscience through words, video or audio messages, or other ways of expression such as comics and paintings, and send to info.aneoc@gmail.com. Everyone will make the hand gesture of conscience together (left hand covers the right fist), symbolizing that we shall safeguard our conscience to create an era of love and peace. A LED wall will broadcast video messages about An Era of Conscience sent by people from all over the world. Moreover, there will be LED strips lightened up to symbolize a link among the five continents.
Following the global launch of An Era of Conscience, Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy will present a cultural feast for the celebration of Chinese New Year. Through a variety of performances such as music, dance, drama and martial arts, Tai Ji Men hopes to inspire people and awaken their conscience and desire to do good deeds. Culture is the backbone of a country. A kind heart is essential to each person when he/she deals with people and affairs. A country will definitely be strong when its people are kind-hearted and tirelessly do good deeds. Through culture, we intend to arouse people’s desire for trueness, kindness, and beauty so as to create a more genuine and beautiful era--an era of conscience.
